“Mariposa” (Butterfly)

 The breathtaking colors of  a butterfly, the soft skin and delicate curves of a female and the magical idea of flying and being free.

I particularly love the different colors used on this painting and the contrast between them. In addition, a new technique was used in order to achieve an oil-like background with an abstract touch.

I wanted to project the beauty of a pregnant woman and the magic and love that can be felt while expecting.

This painting is dedicated to a great friend and her gorgeous daughter.

I love this painting!! It has a soul!

“Beauty in the Shadows”

I particularly enjoyed working on this painting because the colors used are vibrant and strong. Additionally, the technique used allows the viewer see, and almost feel the softness of the skin in contrast to the texture of the skirt.
